In 2022, Vietnamese businesses in general, and Kim Tin in particular, faced a double impact from the aftermath of COVID-19 and the global economic downturn. In addition, Kim Tin entered a crucial phase of its digital transformation process, officially implementing the SAP S/4HANA enterprise management system for 10 member units. Despite the numerous challenges, Kim Tin achieved some notable successes.

Overcoming the many challenges of 2022

On January 16, 2023, the Directors of the member companies reported on their operational progress and achievements in 2022. This was an opportunity for each company to review its accomplishments and identify areas for improvement to achieve its goals in 2023.

Following the reports from the member companies, the Chairman of Kim Tin Group, Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai, reported on the 2022 performance and outlined directions for 2023. At the end of 2022, Kim Tin Group achieved 93% of its planned targets, reaching 115% of the 2021 target. While this wasn’t the expected figure when planning for 2022, objectively speaking, achieving these results required the collective efforts of all Kim Tin employees to overcome numerous difficulties and challenges from both domestic and international markets.

Entering 2023, Kim Tin Group will focus on operating and perfecting the SAP S/4HANA comprehensive enterprise management system, aiming to optimize the benefits from the software; reduce processing costs at manufacturing plants; optimize operating expenses, and increase value per job position. Simultaneously, building compliance and discipline will also be a key objective in 2023. This will serve as a guiding principle for the operations of all companies and factories within the system.

In 2023, the domestic and international economic and political situation is predicted to remain unstable, and difficulties may persist until the end of 2023, or even into the second quarter of 2024. More than ever, to stay on track with its strategic roadmap, Kim Tin Group needs the joint efforts and unity of its member companies. Also at this ceremony, the directors and personnel of the member companies will receive their individual plan figures, but all are focused on a common goal. Each company will have its own mission and tasks, making a significant contribution to the Group’s success in 2023.
